Deep Projek

Deep Projek is a band meant to bring back the glory of the classics. Despite being a new band, its members are by no means amateurs. Each having had a steady and respectable career in the music industry, with experience from playing in different bands they are bound together by their talent, passion and above all love for music.

The members of the band are composed of the lead singer, and inspiration for the name, Gerald “Jek” Manuel for the vocals., Junie Toleza handling the lead guitar, John Lopingco for the drums, Eric De leon for the keyboard and Romel Esparrago for the base guitar.

Other people who help make the band the family that they are is Dr. Ken Dalisay, their producer and Carlos Cia Jr, their lovable roadie.

As with all bands, it took some time for them to get the perfect combination of skill, character and chemistry from all members of the band, which is why although the band was started 4 years ago by Jek, formerly, the lead vocalist of the band IAXE, the line up wasn’t finalized until one year ago, at which time they officially became Deep Projek.

It is their foremost goal to make sure that they are able to bring music to everyone, for the very reason that they love it themselves, simply because it’s a beautiful thing to listen to. Their repertoire consists of many 80’s and 90’s song. The songs that sparked the fire of passion for music that has since then never burned out. And it is this fire that they hope to convey to others. Focusing on music that leans towards light rock, they play covers of classics from Sting, U2, The Police and Tears for Fears. Their genre is unique because it is a revival of the era. Not simply because they bring back the songs themselves, but because of their originals. Both English and Tagalog, all a feast for the ears. Despite being very modern, and relevant it is an embodiment of all that makes the music of the 80’s and 90’s great.

“ Food for the soul,” that is what their producer,Dr. Ken, calls Deep Projek’s music. And indeed one’s soul will grow fat in hearing their music, and after will be left hungering for more. They bring back the nostalgia; the emotion that drove their inspiration to create.

Their album, released in January holds everything good that they have within them. A 10 track album, entitled: ”Deep Projek: Its electric” it is made up of ten tracks all originals with 3 English songs and 7 Tagalog songs.

The roster of which is, Sa Alaala na lang, Magnet, Init ng Buwam, Pasatib,Hanggang sa Muli, Ayoko na, Just Better, Its Electric, Kulay sa Buhay amd Fly Away,

Their album is now available for sale ad to catch this up and coming band, they are currently doing series of TV / Radio performances and Bar tours nationwide. Don’t get miss a chance to have a true musical experience.
