Back in the turbulent times of the early 70s until the late 80s, founding sisters Vida A. Balboa and Corito A. Kalaw and the original staff of Sining Kamalig set out to establish a progressive and dynamic artist's gallery that had earned a reputation here and abroad for its commitment and integrity in advancing the cause of Philippine art and artists.
