Charina Sarte 2012

Scouting for the best swimwear is one of the many things that make summer so much fun! If you have yet to lay eyes on the perfect swimsuit for you, check out the new collection of fabulous local designer Charina Sarte. Her latest range of daring bikinis, maillots, and cover-ups were inspired by the Nivea Sun colors blue, orange, and yellow, and were made in partnership with the skin care brand and the Department of Tourism.

The "Summer's More Fun With Nivea Sun" beach-themed event at Skye Lounge in Fort Bonifacio doubled as the launch of the "Nivea Sun 7 Summer Wonders" campaign, in partnership with DOT. Now that everyone knows "it's more fun in the Philippines," it's time for us to put our national pride to good use!

The new online campaign encourages people to nominate and vote for their favorite summer destination on the Nivea Facebook page from now up to April 15, 2012 for a chance to win an all-expense-paid trip for two to one of the seven spots that rack up the most votes!

Talk about fashion, beauty, and tourism coming together in one amazing campaign. Prepare to frolic in the sun at the country's best summer venues while clad in the latest swimwear trends and protected by SPF products from Nivea's massive Sun Care line!

Launch the gallery to view Charina Sarte's Summer Swimwear Collection.

Charina Sarte's retail shop is located at 2/F Filipino Zone, Greenbelt 5, Legazpi Village, Makati City.

JOSIE NATORI'S SPRING 2012 COLLECTIONS

Lest you think the powerhouse that is Ms. Josie Natori has only been busy with spearheading this year's Manila F.A.M.E., think again. The internationally acclaimed designer has just launched the Spring 2012 collections of her two lines, Josie by Natori and Josie Natori Ready-to-Wear. (Within a few months, she has presented three collections for her three apparel lines: the latter two, and Natori Fall 2011 last November—and that's in Manila alone!)

Josie by Natori is geared towards the young female market with its fun, fresh, and casual spirit. The Spring 2012 collection was launched in an intimate house party last week hosted by Ms. Natori herself and her Josie by Natori muses Katrina Tantoco-Lobregat, Rosanna Ocampo-Rodriguez, Stephanie Kienle-Gonzales, Bea Tantoco, and Stephanie Zubiri.

The Josie Natori Ready-to-Wear Spring 2012 collection, on the other hand, was presented just last Tuesday in the Josie Natori Ready-to-Wear boutique inside Rustan's Makati. Up for grabs are workaday separates that can be easily integrated to a working woman's daily wardrobe!

Philippine Fashion Week Spring/summer 2012

From October 23 to 30, 2011, we celebrate the second installment of Philippine Fashion Week for the year 2011– Philippine Fashion Week Spring Summer 2012.

During this weeklong celebration, all devotees of the  fashion industry gather at SMX convention center and SM Mall of Asia, the home of Philippine Fashion Week, to celebrate all that is inspiring and Pinoy-proud.

We pay homage to Philippine Fashion by witnessing what 100  participating  young Filipino talent and accomplished industry mainstays  have prepared for the spring/summer season of 2012. World-renowned Filipino designer MICHAEL CINCO returns to the Philippine runways to present another breathtaking collection. This season also marks another historic feat for Philippine Fashion as we  pay tribute to one of the Philippines’ most outstanding designers of all time, SALVACION LIM. Staged by our country’s prominent designer, take part as we celebrate this golden year with “SLIM’S at 50”.

An event of this caliber would not be possible without the generosity of SONY CYBERSHOT, SMDC and IPANEMA as well as  the continuous support from SM DEPARTMENT STORE, BENCH, KASHIECA, HUMAN, PENSHOPPE, OXYGEN, LEE, FREEGO, GUESS, VANS, TRIUMPH and THE RAMP CROSSINGS. To these global brands, we salute  you for trusting our expertise in giving what this industry deserves.

Special thanks to L’Oreal Paris: we couldn’t be happier to be partnering once again with such a brilliant brand for our Spring/Summer run this year. Our collaboration with them this season is a fashion and style spectacle on its own as the brand presents products for fresh, stunning looks that bring the breathtaking beauty of the Filipina to the spotlight.

Lastly, to all participants and individuals that keep Philippine Fashion alive welcome to another promising season.

Save the dates and I look forward to seeing you all at the SMX Convention Center and SM Mall of Asia, as we become, again—ONE IN FASHION.
